I can't see the wheel size, but typically if it ends in .5 (ie 17.5, 16.5) it's not a widow maker wheel.
ReplyDeleteCan you post a pic of the back wheel?
photo of rear wheel posted
ReplyDeleteThese are the same as my original wheels: locking ring, 6 x 16, 7 1/4 centers, in-and-out coined.
Delete17.5 x 6 is the correct 1-pc wheel replacement size, NOT 19.5".
Ford, IH, and Dodge used the same wheels from mid-60's through mid-70's. You can find used replacements if you're patient.
I kept my 2 best locking ring wheels as spares.
Hi Willow : I've a 1964 Travco also . Saved it from a farm in Indiana 3weeks to drive and repair it home to Maryland. My children and I restored it then used it for years going to "Anime conventions up and down the east coast . I've had it for 13 years ,done some mods larger fuel tank, toilet, running lights ,floor, insulation, upholstery, ceiling. Need to swap front axle for the disk brake type .Dabbling with vapor carburetor, LP, hydrogen, and ethanol . Good luck Love pics
ReplyDeleteI have an old 64 Travco for sell, if anyone is needing parts. It is complete, minus the booths, and a stuck brake on the passenger front wheel due to sitting for the past few years. Also has a cracked driver's side front windshield. Good price! (317)702-3200, Rocky mount, NC.
ReplyDeleteHello, I found her behind the barn at a friends house in Litchfield MI, And fell inlove with it, Drove it home and cleaned it up, No money to do anything with it. Sold it to a couple hippies that said they where going to live in it and drive it to California, Thats the last i heard of it, Very happy you are bringing her back to life in all her glory,

ReplyDeleteIf you need to see something to picture it, then start straight with the caravan sales yard because you will be able to see exactly what you are getting for your money - right from the start. valutazione camper mobilvetta
